Abstract

In this paper, we studied the stability analysis of the SIR and SIS compartmental epidemiological models in view to finding out the dynamics of the spread of infectious diseases. This work further discusses the general SIR and SIS epidemic model (with vital dynamics); we also obtained the disease free equilibrium and the endemic points. Furthermore, stability analysis of both the disease-free and the endemic equilibrium were obtained accordingly.
